Ruff 'n' Tumble

Dog Exercise Routines | Rough Play

Sometimes the weather simply doesn’t permit any outdoor exercise, but this is not so helpful for a dog that is biting at the bit for some physical activity. On days like these I find the next best thing is playing ruff’n’tumble. Never underestimate the value of this kind if interaction with your dog. Your dog can have increased confidence and agility with only 10 minutes of controlled boisterous play, it is great for mental stimulation and it really knackers them.

The same theme applies with this type of exercise as any other; always know your dogs and their limits. I have two Miniature Schnauzers, whom are brothers from the same litter, and they each have very different boundaries. Never over exert your dog, or confuse what is boisterous with what is aggressive play, as these are two are very different things, in the canine world.
